A pom-pom maker is a great tool if you need some help making pom-poms, and all you need is yarn and some scissors. Pom-poms are a great way to use all that lovely scrap yarn you have lying around, and a pom-pom is a cute little detail you can add to so many different projects. You could, e.g., attach them to the corners of a homemade cushion, add a fun little fluff-ball to your beanie, or use them as tassels on the end of your scarf. A cute little pom-pom mobile is also an adorable addition to any nursery!

How to make a pom-pom with a pom-pom maker:
The two halves of the pom-pom maker need to be attached at the middle before you start.
Pull two half-circles out at the same time so that you can work the yarn around them.
Work the yarn around both half-circles, but not too tight. Use one color of yarn or mix several colors together to achieve a more exciting look.
Now, pull the two other half-circles out and do the same with them.
Join the pom-pom maker halves to form a full circle.
Use scissors to cut the pom-pom open. Cut along the outer rim in the hollow between the two halves.
Work an end of yarn into the hollow space between the two halves, tie a knot, and tighten it well.
Open the half-circles again and separate the two halves by gently pulling them apart from the center of the pom-pom maker. You may have to wiggle them a bit to separate them.
Trim the pom-pom with scissors to make it nice and even.
